House Tours

Once again, the family vacation….

It comes but once a year, the family vacation.... This year we chose to go to the same place as last year and we ended up inviting more people the more the merrier right? It never ceases to amaze me the people that I meet on vacation and year after year the people just seem to get nicer and nicer. This year we met Gina, her daughter Hope, Denise, Ana, Kevin and Hannah and her family. Can I just tell you that I've met nice people in my life but these folks are so nice that it made me think twice about how nice I appear to people. Gina has an amazing job with organ donation and two beautiful girls and Ana has twin boys so we were instantly connected. I thank my daughter Maggie who has an amazing arm with a football that initiated our conversation and of course, the twins who always initiate conversation: ). It was a pleasure to meet these folks and share our stories I'm looking forward to staying connected.

I want to thank the people who opened up their homes for a house tour for us including Denise (Gina's sister), Hannah's family (we loved her grandpa's stories) and a family that we don't know, we just loved their house so much that we rang the door bell and asked for a tour and they were gracious enough to say “yes” and we thank them for that. My daughter brought her friend Claudia on vacation with us and Claudia fell in love with this one house in particular and honestly who wouldn't it was stunning. I talked Claudia into asking if she could see the house because she loved it so much and she finally did just that. I think it's important to teach children to ask for what they want after all what is the worst thing that can happen…..you may hear someone say “no”? Needless to say we were all stunned and amazed not only at the house but the fact that total strangers allowed 4 children and an adult to tour their stunning house on a whim. They have no idea how happy they made us especially Claudia. Again, it is so nice to meet nice people.
